London Design Festival Highlights

Running from the 15th - 23rd, London Design Festival celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world. Made up of different quarters, the festival takes over different venues and buildings throughout the week. With plenty of events and things going on, we’ve listed what we'll be going to.

The Fitzrovia Quarter

From literature, fashion, design, art and architecture, Fitzrovia has been the birthplace for London’s best creative talent and for the first time will have it’s own district at London Design Festival. We’re no strangers to the joys of Fitzrovia, having opened two bars there in the last 10 years.

Design Junction

20th - 23rd September

Taking over the Southbank centre for the eight year in a row, Design Junction presents a unique chance to explore a range of aesthetics in one venue. We are looking forward to spending the day browsing the Doon Street site, which is set to have over 200 international design brands and pop-up shops and stocking up on homeware. Plus the Riverside Walkway will have some stunning installations going on.

No need to book - just show up. More information HERE.

Clerkenwell Design Quarter

Now in its sixth year, Clerkenwell Design Quarter brings together all the multi-disciplinary components of this historical area, from showrooms, retailers and pop-ups to restaurants and bars.

Start and finish your day, of course, at B&H Buildings…

Clerkenwell Design Quarter reaches the outer edges of EC1 this year, to the boundaries of Barbican and Hatton Garden, and once again plays a pivotal role in bringing together a variety of multidisciplinary design strands that exist within this historic quarter.

We’ll be visiting our favourite architects Wilkinson Eyre at the atmospheric House of Detention for an exhibition of their work which has been etched onto glass. More information HERE.

Sniff your way through London with London in Seven Scents - we’ll be visiting the talk on the 21st.
